Interior Decorator Jen Novak believes in the importance of partnering with her clients to provide an experience that is both fulfilling and enjoyable, and ultimately leads to a finished design that will provide you with a functional and beautiful space that suits you perfectly . With an M.A. degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Jen has years of experience connecting with clients and understands the value of a collaborative effort between professional and client. The process should include input from the client through every step of the journey no matter the size or scope of the project. Jen’s experience in building strong partnerships in her years of counseling has helped her with her work in the design practice. What started as a passionate hobby has now developed into a full time career as an interior designer and design studio/shop owner.

Thoughtful design is more than just incorporating beautiful textiles and furniture into a home, it’s a process that considers the feeling a client wishes to experience when in their space. Emotions a space invokes, as well as the functionality and “livability” it provides, are as important as the beauty. Jen guides her clients in creating a vision together, one that will lead to a space that is truly unique to each client.

The Gilded Elephant Home Design and Décor is an interior design service, with options ranging from one time consultation to full project design. Jen has a passion for infusing color and pattern into her work while blending reinvented vintage pieces within décor. Jen believes in mixing old with new, that there should be no “rules” in design, and that if you love something – it can work!
